How do I book a ride?

Simply sign up or log in, then select Book a Ride from the menu. Confirm your pickup location, enter your destination, review the upfront fare, and tap Confirm Booking. We will match you with the nearest available driver instantly.

How is the fare calculated?

Fares are calculated based on the distance of your trip at a base rate of TZS 1,500 per kilometre. The total fare is always displayed upfront before you confirm your booking — no surprise charges.

Can I cancel a ride?

You can cancel a pending booking before a driver is matched or while the driver is en route to your pickup. Open your active booking and tap Cancel Ride.

Is it safe to ride with Luma?

Absolutely. Every driver is verified with a National ID and valid Driving License before they can accept rides. All trips are tracked in real time so you can share your ride details with trusted contacts.

How do I register to drive?

Click the Drive link in the navigation and register for a driver account. After logging in, go to Documents to upload your Citizen Identity Card and Driving License, then add your vehicle details under Vehicle.

How do I receive ride requests?

Once your profile and documents are fully verified, go to the Ride dashboard, update your current location to go online, and you will start receiving ride requests from nearby customers automatically.

How much can I earn?

Your earnings depend on the number of rides you complete and the distances involved. The standard fare is TZS 1,500 per kilometre. Drivers keep the majority of each fare. There are no shift requirements — you earn on your own schedule.
